Equipment: Emergency fire pump
The weekly run that keeps the emergency fire pump proven and the ISM record current.
- Confirm the pump's seachest and suction valve are open
- Start the pump locally and from the remote (fire-control) station in turn
- Open a test hydrant; confirm pressure holds on both hydrants tested
- Run for five minutes; check for leaks, overheating, and normal discharge
- Secure the pump; return valves to the sea-ready state
- Log the test, pressures, and any defect here for the ISM record
